Dean Fiore has been announced as Scott Pye’s co-driver for the 2020 Enduro Cup in the upcoming Supercars Championship.
Following 5 years with Kelly Racing as an Enduro Driver, Fiore is joining Team 18 to partner with the newly recruited Scott Pye.
Fiore drove alongside Jacobson in 2018 but has also enjoyed outings in the Super2 Series, Carrera Cup, Australian GT and the Bathurst 12 Hour in recent years.
Fiore is keen to get behind the wheel of the Commodore in next years Enduro Cup and to partner with Pye, who he was team-mates with in 2013 at Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport.
“I am thrilled to be joining Team 18! After a tour of the workshop and meeting most of the crew, it’s clear to me, Charlie has put everything in place for Team 18 to succeed. Really looking forward to pairing up with Scott too! We were team mates in 2013 and I admire what he’s been able to achieve since then. I also really want to thank Mark (Winterbottom) for initially reaching out and starting the dialog with Steve and Charlie.” – Dean Fiore
The Major Sponsor for the second Team 18 car from the Mount Waverley operation is yet to be announced.
Team Owner Charlie Schwerkolt is looking forward to having Fiore co-drive for his newly announced second car operation in the 2020 Enduro Cup.
“Dean has had a really solid performance in his previous endurance campaigns, so it’s really exciting to have him join the team alongside Scotty. They are ex-teammates so I think that they will really work well together in the Enduro Cup for the first season with our new second entry.” – Charlie Schwerkolt
